Heavyweights Earn Content Cup Back With Win Over No. 5 Brown

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 7 Princeton Tigers regained the Content Cup with an impressive 3.4-second victory over the No. 5 Brown Bears at Lake Carnegie on Saturday afternoon.

It was a banner day for Princeton as the home squad took the V8, 3V and 4V contests. Brown's only victory came at 2V.

In the V8 event, Princeton crossed the finish line at 5:45.4 while Brown was behind at 5:48.8. At 2V, Brown posted a 5:49.8 while Princeton had a 5:53.3. The 3V had impressive win, taking home a time of 5:57.4 while the Bears were nine seconds behind (6:06.8). The 4V outing featured the Tigers winning by 12 seconds.

It was the final event for the Class of 2019 in Larry Bao, Dan de Groot, Matt Doyle, Ralph Elsegood, Nathaniel Jiranek, Hunter Johnson, Alex Levine, Andrew Morgan, Jonny Naylor, Jim Palmer, Charles Watt, Luke Wiggins and Matt Wylie. The group has won three Content Cups in their time at Princeton.

The Tigers will take a week off before the Eastern Sprints (May 19) before the IRA Championships (May 31-Jun 2).
