Heavies Have Three Boats Post Top-Five Finishes at IRA Championship

SACRAMENTO – The men's heavyweight team had three boats post top-five finishes at the IRA National Championship.
The V8 team was sixth in its Grand Final (5:43.77) while Yale took the title (5:32.94). The 2V unit also placed sixth (5:45.93) as Calif., earned the top position (5:38.2). That matched its spot from last season.
3V just missed a medal, crossing the finish line fourth (5:47.66) behind Washington, Yale and Harvard. The Tigers were .2 of a second back of Harvard, however nabbed its best spot since 2016. The V4 earned the best place of the day for Princeton, collecting the third best time and a bronze medal (6:25.47) behind Washington and Calif.
Princeton was fifth in the Ten Eyck Team Trophy standings for the second straight season, securing 162 points.
