Princeton Baseball In The Pros: Hale's Successful Season Continues For The Yankees

PRINCETON, N.J. – David Hale continues his role as a multi-inning reliever for the New York Yankees.

Hale threw a scoreless inning on Sunday against the Astros as the Yankees took three of four from Houston over the weekend. He has secured a 3.43 ERA in nine games.

Matt Bowman – Cincinnati Reds – MLB – Bowman had the worst outing of his season, giving up three runs in less than an inning vs. the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, but rebounded with a scoreless frame against the Brewers yesterday. He has collected a 2.70 ERA in 11 appearances with the Reds.

Mike Ford - Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders – AAA – Ford posted two hits, a run and an RBI on Sunday against the Durham Bulls. It has been a slow two weeks for the former Tiger, but he has produced two home runs and five RBI in that span.

Alec Keller – Fresno Grizzlies – AAA – Keller has snagged six hits in his last three games, raising his batting average 11 points in that stretch. The outfielder has put up hits in six of his last 10 games.

Danny Barnes - Buffalo Bisons – AAA – Barnes was placed on the seven-day disabled list. In seven games, he's struck out nine hitters and earned a save.

Keelan Smithers – Kingsport Mets – Rookie – Smithers was signed by the New York Mets in January and was assigned to the Kingsport. The Mets' season will start in June.
