Bob Surace To Throw Out First Pitch At Yankee Stadium Monday

A lifelong Yankees fan will get the ball at the stadium Monday.

Bob Surace, the Charles W. Caldwell Jr. Head Coach of Football and diehard Yankee fan, will throw out the first pitch Monday night at Yankee Stadium before the Yankees take on the Tampa Bay Rays. Surace will be joined by Dartmouth head coach Buddy Teevens on the mound.

The first 200 fans who purchase tickets for the game Monday through THIS OFFER will receive an exclusive New York Yankees Hat co-branded with the Dartmouth College and Princeton University logos. Once inside the stadium and prior to the start of the 4th inning, fans who take advantage of this opportunity can head over to the college hat table located on the Main level (200 level) between Section 217 and Section 223, across from the New Era Team Store, to pick up the commemorative hat.

This won't be the last time Surace and Teevens are at the same game at the stadium. They'll be back on Nov. 9, on opposite sides, when Princeton plays Dartmouth as part of the 150th celebration of college football.

The game on Nov. 9 will be played three days after the 150th anniversary of the first football game, played between Princeton and Rutgers on Nov. 6, 1869.

Princeton went 10-0 a year ago and won its third Ivy League championship in six years a year ago. Dartmouth went 9-1 in 2018, with only a 14-9 loss to Princeton.
