Berube Adds Lauren Dillon To Coaching Staff
July 09, 2019 | Women's Basketball
PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton head coach Carla Berube continued to fill out her staff with the hiring of Lauren Dillon as an assistant coach, Berube announced today.
Â
"I'm looking forward to working with Lauren for our sixth year together," stated Berube. "She's one of the fiercest competitors I've ever coached and has a contagious love for the game that is sure to inspire the Princeton student athletes. Lauren is a strong recruiter with a keen ability to connect with prospective student-athletes. Her values align well with Education Through Athletics, the Princeton Athletics' mission. She'll be a great addition to the Tiger Family.
Â
"I'm so excited to join the Princeton Women's Basketball staff and to continue working for Coach Berube," said Dillon. "She built a culture at Tufts I knew I wanted to be a part of, and I can't wait to continue building that at Princeton. Princeton is a very special university with incredible people and talented student-athletes that I could immediately relate to. I am so looking forward to working with and continuing to grow this successful program. Go Tigers!"
Dillon comes from Tufts where she spent the previous season as a coach after graduating from the school in 2018. She helped lead her squad team to a NESCAC championship her freshmen year, and one Elite Eight, one Final Four, and two National Championship game appearances throughout her career. A two-year captain, Dillon was the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore, earned a First-Team All-League honor as a senior and graduated as the program's all-time record in career steals and assists.
She is pursuing her masters' degree in Child Study and Human Development at Tufts.
