Princeton Summer Ball: Udell Helps DeLand Suns To FCSL Championship Series

PRINCETON, N.J. – Connor Udell helped the DeLand Suns reached the Florida Collegiate Summer League Championship for the second straight season.
In game one of the semifinals vs. Sanford River Rats, Udell earned the save, scattering two hits over the last two innings, punching out three. The championship series will start on Saturday. In 25 1/3 innings for DeLand, Udell has struck out 18 hitters.
Jake Boone and Sy Snedeker – Peninsula Pilots – Coastal Plain League – Boone has scored a run in five of his last six games along with adding four walks in his last two outings. The rising junior has secured a .286/.377/.429 slash line, producing four home runs, 31 RBI and 15 stolen bases. Snedeker has two hits on Monday in a 14-2 victory. He's added 18 runs and knocked in 15. The Pilots are currently tied for second in the Coastal Plain League North Division Second Half Standings with Edenton.
Keith Gabrielson - Mystic Schooners – New England Collegiate Baseball League – Gabrielson's summer came to a conclusion yesterday. He finished the season for the Schooners with 20 2/3 innings of work, striking out 19.
Eric Hoefer/Eric Marasheski – Southampton Breakers – Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League – The Breakers reached the playoffs, winning the wildcard matchup over Shelter Island, before losing the semifinal series to the eventual champion Westhampton. In 33 games, Marasheski registered a .252 average with 25 runs, 17 steals and 12 RBI. Hoefer completed the summer with 10 strikeouts in 15 2/3 frames.
Nadir Lewis – Alpharetta Aviators – SunBelt Baseball League – Lewis' summer campaign ended with hits in nine of his last 10 games including three multi-hit outings. He collected a .365/.409/.426 line, picking up 11 runs, six steals and six RBI.
