Maya Ana Callender and Jared Montano, two invaluable members of the Princeton football program, have earned promotions on the staff of Charles W. Caldwell Jr. Head Coach of Football Bob Surace.
Callender, who spent last year as the Assistant Director of Football Operations, has been named Director of Football Operations. She had most recently been serving as interim Director of Football Operations.
Montano has been named Director of Football Creative Content after spending the last two years as Social Media Coordinator.
"Both Maya and Jared have established that they are hugely important members of our program," Surace said. "Their work directly contributes to the success that the team has experienced in their time here, and every member of the staff knows that. Most importantly, the experience for the players is greatly enhanced from all of their hard work, and I'm thrilled that they're a part of Princeton Football."
Callender will be in her third season of working on the operations side, where she is responsible for pretty much every aspect of the program. Her work touches key areas such as player experience, recruiting, alumni engagement, travel, compliance and camps. Before coming to Princeton, she spent a year at Belhaven University in Mississippi while working in football operations and on a master's degree.
As an undergraduate at Utica College, Callender was a four-year head manager for the football team. She graduated with a degree in marketing management.
Montano will continue to advance the football program's social media presence, especially on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. He will also continue and expand his work in graphic design, editing of highlights, photography and in-game tweeting while also serving as the liaison for NFL scouts.
Montano is a 2016 graduate of West Chester University, where he majored in communications studies and Spanish and minored in French, Italian and Latin American studies. He also spent four years as a videographer at West Chester, working on projects across the entire university.
While at Princeton Montano has also served on the production crew for ESPN+ telecasts across many sports, and he has spent time in the same capacity for the Trenton Thunder Double-A baseball team.
