Men's Tennis Team to Open Fall Season Hosting the Farnsworth-Ivy Plus

The Farnsworth-Ivy Plus men's tennis tournament will be held at Princeton Sept. 20-22 at the Lenz Tennis Center, or in Jadwin Gym if inclement weather.
It is the 51st installment of Princeton's annual home tournament, now named for accomplished Tiger tennis alumnus Ted Farnsworth '84. A U.S. Navy lieutenant who passed away in 1993, Farnsworth ended his career ranked 12th in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, earning All-America honors.
Princeton will welcome all seven of its fellow Ivy teams, plus Buffalo, Indiana, Kentucky, Miami (FL), Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, SMU, Tennessee, Texas, and William & Mary.
The event will have five, 16-player singles draws and five, eight-team doubles draws, which are available here. For the Tigers, Davey Roberts, Tomas Bosancic, Justin Barki, Karl Poling and Will Peters will compete.

The schedule is as follows:
Friday: Two rounds of doubles beginning at 9 a.m., one round of singles beginning at noon
Saturday: Two rounds of singles throughout the day, play begins at 9 a.m.
Sunday: One round of doubles at 9 a.m., one round of singles with play beginning at 9:45 a.m.

Princeton will also send three players to the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, with Ryan Seggerman, Damian Rodriguez and Payton Holden going to Wisconsin. In Milwaukee, Friday will include one round each of doubles and singles. Saturday will see one round of doubles and two rounds of singles. Sunday features the doubles and singles quarterfinals and semifinals, and final-round matches will be on Monday. Alabama, Arizona State, California, Florida Atlantic, Illinois, IUPUI, Kentucky, Marquette, Mississippi State, Navy, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Pepperdine, Saint Mary's (Calif.), San Diego State, Southern California, Tennessee, Wisconsin and VCU are sending players to the event.
