Princeton Baseball In The Pros: Ford On A Hot Streak For Yankees
September 03, 2019 | Baseball
What a stretch it has been for Mike Ford with the New York Yankees.
The Yankees are currently tied for the best record in baseball at 90-49 despite setting a Major League Baseball record with 29 players on the injured list.
Safe to say, they've need contributions from a lot of sources.

Over his last 10 games, Ford is hitting .345 with five home runs. On August 26th, he blasted two home runs against the Seattle Mariners, adding three RBI. He also hit his first career walk-off four-bagger on Sept. 1 against the Oakland A's.
In 37 games for the Yankees, Ford is hitting .237 with a .535 slugging percentage. He's hit 10 home runs and has driven in 16 runs.
David Hale – New York Yankees – MLB – Hale was moved to the 60-day injured list on Sept. 1 after suffering a setback in his rehab. This will likely end his season as he sits with a 2.89 ERA in 37 1/3 innings.
Matt Bowman – Cincinnati Reds – MLB – As rosters expanded on Sept. 1, Bowman was called up to the Reds. The reliever was excellent in AAA, collecting a 2.08 ERA in 29 games. He also earned four saves, adding 35 strikeouts in 39 innings.
Alec Keller – Fresno Grizzlies – AAA – Keller's season came to an end yesterday as Fresno finished the 2019 campaign. The former Tiger wrapped up the year on fire at the plate, earning a .414 average over his last 10 contests. He finished 2019 with a .302 average and .346 on-base percentage in 119 games. He knocked in 45 runs and stole 10 bases.
Danny Barnes - Buffalo Bisons – AAA – Barnes never came off the injured list and finished with 10 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings.
