Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving to Host Villanova

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's & women's swimming & diving teams will host their first meet of the 2020 calendar year Friday when Villanova University make the trip to Denunzio Pool for a dual.
Tiger Notes
While Princeton's men fell 171-129 to the U.S. Naval Academy on Saturday, January 4, the Tigera are 5-1 in dual meets on the season. In a time-trial after the Tigers' meet at Navy, Corey Lau earned a trip to the 2020 Olympic Trials in the 100-meter breaststroke after touching the wall at 1:03.29 seconds.
The Tiger women are 3-1 in dual meets this season and Friday's dual against the Wildcats will be their first of 2020. At the Big Al Invitational, Princeton's final meet of 2019, the team of Ellie Marquardt, Nicole Venema, Amelia Liu and Christina Bradley set a new program record in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:17.67 seconds. Venema also qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.99.
Scouting Villanova
The Wildcats have not competed in over a month. Their most recent meet was on Tuesday, November 26 against La Salle University; Villanova's men won 187-106 and its women won 172-126.
The Villanova women are also no strangers to the Tigers and DeNunzio Pool as they made the trip last season on Saturday, January 12 2019. The Tigers would come out on top, 143-138.

Both Princeton's men and women will take on Ivy League opponents. The Tiger will will host Columbia University on Saturday, January 25 and the Tiger men will face Yale University on Friday, January 6 at 6 p.m.
