Men's Hockey Skates By St. Lawrence, 6-3

PRINCETON – Victory on Valentine's!
Princeton outclassed St. Lawrence at Hobey Baker Rink, rallying from a 2-1 deficit after one period to knock off the Saints, 6-3.
Luke Keenan played hard to get with the Saint Lawrence defense all night, finishing with a career-high four points as he scored twice and added two assists. Linemate Jake Paganelli added a career-high three assists, and Liam Grande and Reid Yochim each had a goal and an assist.
The Tigers controlled the face-off dot, winning 41 draws to 27 for the Saints. Jackson Cressey was dominant, winning 14-of-18 to go with two assists.
Jeremie Forget had 29 saves, aided by 20 blocked shots from his teammates. Mark Paolioni had four blocks to go with a goal and an assist while Thom added three. All total, 13 different players blocked at least one shot for Princeton.
Saint Lawrence took an early lead 1:39 into the game via a Cameron Buhl goal. He scooped up a rebound and shoveled it under Forget for the quick strike.
Princeton countered midway through the period when Luke Keenan scored a power-play goal with 8:59 remaining. The assists went to Mark Paolini and Liam Grande who each had peppered SLU goalie Francis Boisvert with shots in the man-advantage.
The Saints snuck one by Forget late in the first period off a faceoff. Jordan Steinmetz netted the goal, deflecting home a Jake Stevens shot with 2:57 remaining in the opening period.
The Tigers dominated the second period, jumping all over the Saints and scoring three goals to build a 4-2 lead.
Liam Grande tied the game, 2-2, 3:35 into the second with a power-play goal assisted by Jake Paganelli and Luke Keenan.
The Tigers return to Hobey Baker Rink on Saturday, hosting No. 5 Clarkson at 7 p.m. Tickets are available here.

Yochim then connected on his first goal of the season midway through the frame to give Princeton a 4-2 lead. Thom started the sequence with a big hit in the defensive end, pretty passing from Paganelli and Keenan resulted in a cross-ice feed to Yochim who joined then rush and netted what proved to be the game-winner.Only Top Shelf Stuff On Valentine's Day!

In the third, St. Lawrence crept within one via an Ashton Fry goal with 7:45 remaining. Princeton calmly responded, as Forget made four saves and the Tigers blocked five shots before Keenan and Paolini added empty-netters.Yo, Baby!
