No. 5 Women’s Tennis Downs South Alabama 4-1 at Blue Gray Classic

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The No. 5 Princeton University women's tennis team put forth an impressive performance in its opening match at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic Friday afternoon, defeating the University of South Alabama 4-1.
Stephanie Schrage picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win over Yurie Takanashi at the No. 4 position and Michelle Sorokko followed at No. 6 with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Clara Pasanen. At No. 5 Clare McKee triumphed 7-6, 6-3 over Diana Monsalve and No. 57 Zoe Howard clinched the match at No. 2, defeating Cami Moreno 6-4, 2-6, 6-1.
Due to weather, play was pushed back and the Tigers only played singles against the Jaguars. The Tigers then played doubles against Yale, taking the doubles point and resuming play with singles tomorrow.
