Alarie Honored As USBWA National Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Bella Alarie was named the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) National Player of the Week.

Alarie was honored as the Ivy Player of the Week on Monday. She averaged 23.0 points on 55.9 percent shooting. The senior also added 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game as Princeton went 2-0 against Harvard and Dartmouth.
The two-time Ivy Player of the Year was outstanding vs. Harvard, dropping in 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting, adding six rebounds and two steals as the Tigers dropped the Crimson. Alarie was even better vs. Dartmouth, recording a season-high 28 points on 11-of-21 from the floor. She knocked down two treys and grabbed 12 caroms as well.

Princeton's winning streak is now at 17. The Tigers are 21-1 overall and 9-0 in the Ivy League. Head coach Carla Berube's unit welcomes Penn to Jadwin Gym tonight at 7 p.m.
