No. 11 Women’s Tennis to Take on No. 16 Michigan, Michigan State

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's tennis team will travel to the state of Michigan for a pair of matches, first taking on the No. 16 University of Michigan followed by Michigan State University.
The Tigers meet the 16th-ranked Wolverines at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 28 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, then the Spartans on Sunday, March 1 at 10 a.m. in East Lansing, Michigan.
Tiger Notes
The 11th-ranked Tigers are 9-2 on the season and are coming off a 4-1 loss to No. 19 Wake Forest University on Saturday, February 22 in Montgomery, Alabama, in the championship match at the Blue Gray Classic.
Princeton currently features three ranked individuals and one ranked doubles team. Brianna Shvets is ranked No. 17, Zoe Howard No. 57 and Daria Frayman No. 109. In doubles, Grace Joyce and Frayman ranked No. 23.
Scouting No. 16 Michigan
No. 16 Michigan is 4-4 on the season and in its most recent match it fell 4-1 to the No. 13 University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Wolverines feature three nationally-ranked individuals; Giulia Pairone at No. 24, Andrea Cerdan at No. 85 and Alyvia Jones at No. 93.
In 2018-19, Michigan won its second-consecutive Big Ten Championship and advanced to NCAA Super Regionals after winning its NCAA first and second round matches. The Wolverines went 20-6 overall and 11-0 in conference play.
Scouting Michigan State
The Spartans are 8-3 on the season and earned a 4-2 win over Dartmouth College in their most recent match on Sunday, February 23.
In 2018-19, the Spartans finished with a 15-11 overall record and a 6-5 record in Big Ten play.
