The team also broke the program record for wins in a season with the victory, surpassing the 2015-16 team's 22 wins with the 23rd of the season.

Just more than a minute later, Carly Bullock picked up a puck behind the net, curled around and sent it in, putting Princeton up 2-0 before the game was 90 seconds old.

Right after the midpoint of the first period, Annie Kuehl took her turn with a blast from the slot, this time a little closer than Thompson's, and Princeton was up 3-0.

Only 23 seconds later, Maggie Connors swept one home from the crease, and Princeton had its fourth goal.

Quinnipiac's Courtney Vorster scored with less than four minutes to go in the opening period to spoil the shutout, but Stephanie Neatby, who finished with 26 saves, shut out Quinnipiac for the last 43 minutes to help secure the win.
