Kong Surges to Runner-Up Finish in Utah

Tiffany Kong eagled the par-5 first hole for the second time in three rounds to help her turn in a 2-under 70 and move to second place as the Entrada Classic hosted by BYU at the Entrada at Snow Canyon in St. George, Utah came to a close Tuesday.
Kong finished at +1 to stand just one stroke behind winner Lauren Cox of North Texas, who finished at even par. Cox's finish paced North Texas to a 19-stroke win at +11 over second-place Iowa.
The Tigers' round of 297 was their best of the event and was the second-best third round of any in the 12-team field, behind only the 293 from BYU.
