No. 8 Ole Miss Defeats Princeton

OXFORD, Miss. – The No. 8 Ole Miss Rebels earned a series sweep with a 14-2 win over the Princeton Tigers at Swayze Field on Sunday afternoon.
Ole Miss opened up the scoring with two runs in the first frame on a home run and RBI single. The Tigers rebounded with a two-spot in the next half inning. Sy Snedeker lined a hit to right field that allowed Noah Granet to touch home. David Harding brought in Brendan Cummings on a sacrifice fly.
Ole Miss showed why it was one of the top teams in the country, scoring in every inning including three in the third stanza and four in the fifth.
Princeton pitching combined for nine strikeouts while Granet had two hits in the loss. Princeton will begin its Spring Break trip next Saturday at Norfolk State.
