Jamie Brickell '80.
Married to Elisa since 1984; Two children: Josh (29) and Caroline (26); Litigation Attorney (for 36 years) at Pryor Cashman in NYC.

Position played and major and thesis topic:
Goalkeeper; My thesis was a Comparative Discussion of the Literary works of Saul Bellow and Philip Roth.

Most memorable game at Princeton. Why?
2-1 win at Brown my senior year (1979). I scored a goal while playing goal!

Toughest loss:
3-1 to Penn State in the second round of the NCAA tournament. We were tied, 1-1, until 75th minute and it slipped away.

Funniest on-field story while at Princeton:
I leveled a forward during the Harvard game for harassing me in the goal area during a corner kick.The referee did not see it, but the Harvard assistant coach did. When that coach came running on the field in defense of his player, he never got past Marc Lovecchio, who gently "encouraged" him to return to the sidelines. We always had each others' backs!

Best players on the team during your era:
There were a lot of them! From the Class of 1980 -- Rick Raber and Bob Bradley. In the Class of 1981 -- Charlie Stillitano. The Class of 1982 -- Jim and John Bowen, Jack Blair.

Most underrated player on the team during your era: Why?
Rich Alito '81. He battled too many injuries and he never really had a chance to show how talented he was.

Funniest teammate and any examples of what made him funny:
Marc Lovecchio and I played two years of JV before getting a chance to play with the varsity, and he used to refer to us and our fellow JV alumni as the "Comedy Squad." Just the same, Marc was an excellent player.

Players on the team you still keep in touch with:
Dave Maldonado met me for lunch recently in NYC when visiting with his daughter from Dallas. Lasse Brautaset recently hosted my daughter and her husband for dinner in Norway during their honeymoon. Those are the bonds we all built, they remain true to this day and we'd be there for each other at a moment's notice.

Message/Advice for the current players:
Enjoy every moment. It definitely goes too fast.
