Weledji '18 Signs With Spain’s Extremadura Miralvalle Plasencia

PRINCETON, N.J. – Tia Weledji '18 has signed with Spain's Extremadura Miralvalle Plasencia.

Her previous international stop was with the Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters in the British WBBL. Weledji has also seen action with the Caldeonia Pride. She has helped her team to the Scottish Cup Final in 2019 and also earned Eurobasket.com All-English WBBL honorable mention.

The former Tiger finished her Princeton career with two Ivy League titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances. She saw action in 109 career games, making 28 starts. She averaged a career-best 6.9 points per contest in 2017-18 as the Tigers earned the conference crown and the Ivy League Tournament championship. During her senior season, Weledji shot a personal-high 44.6 percent from the floor and 80.8 percent from the free-throw line. She also stole 20 passes and added 35 assists.
