Reid '14 and Horsted '19 Play In NFL Contests Sunday

As if the weekend couldn't get any better …

Less than 24 hours after a wonderful comeback over No. 25 Monmouth, Charles W. Caldwell Jr. '25 Head Coach of Football Bob Surace's smile somehow got even bigger.

Carun Reid '14 signed with the Tennessee Titans and was active for the team's 37-19 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

The former unanimous All-Ivy League selection and honorable mention All-American has also played with the Dallas Cowboys, the Detroit Lions, the Los Angeles Chargers (who were still in San Diego then), the Arizona Cardinals and most recently the Jacksonville Jaguars in his eight-year professional career. Reid has 50 tackles and 3.5 sacks in his career, and he has returned two fumbles for touchdowns.

Later in the day, another alum made an impact as Jesper Horsted '19 was active for the Chicago Bears for the first time this season. On second and goal from the Las Vegas Raiders' three-yard line, Bears' quarterback Justin Fields scrambled to his right and threw to an open Horsted in the end zone to put the Bears up 7-3. Chicago would go on to win 20-9.

The former All-Ivy League wide receiver and outfielder for Princeton is in his fourth season with Chicago, collecting nine catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
