No. 9 Men's Water Polo Splits NWPC Doubleheader at DeNunzio

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 9 Princeton Tigers earned a split during its two Northeast Water Polo Conference games today at DeNunzio Pool.
No. 15 Harvard 10, No. 9 Princeton 8
After Princeton started the contest with the first score of the game, Harvard rolled off four straight before taking a 4-2 advantage into the second quarter. The Tigers couldn't get closer and trailed 6-3 at halftime. The Crimson registered the first tally of the second half, but Princeton made a run with four consecutive goals, tying the game at 7-all with 7:33 left. The conference rivals exchanged goals, but Harvard took the final tallies and the contest, 10-8.

The Tigers posted three of the first four goals of the contest before Brown countered with three straight to take a 4-3 at the intermission. The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair with four ties, but George Cara's goal with 57 seconds to go gave the home unit an 8-7 advantage. The Tigers extended their lead to three, 10-7, as the clock readd 5:12. Brown got within two, but tallies from Roko Pozaric and Ryan Neapole sealed the victory for Princeton.
