No. 13 Princeton Secures Wins Over Iona and SFC Brooklyn

NEW YORK – The No. 13 Princeton Tigers defeated the Iona Gaels and St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers to sweep its Northeast Water Polo Conference road trip on Saturday.

The Tigers kept the Gaels off the scoreboard for the first 10:03 of game time, running out to a three-goal lead. Princeton expanded its advantage, racing out to a 7-1 lead at halftime. Iona used a push to cut the deficit to three, 7-4, with 4:42 left in the third quarter, but two goals by Wyatt Benson and George Caras moved the lead back to five. The Tigers took a 10-5 lead into the final quarter before securing the win, 12-6.

St. Francis got the game with 2:04 remaining but couldn't get any closer as Roko Pozaric's goal with 11 seconds left wrapped up the victory.
