Women's Basketball Heads On The Road To Undefeated Rhode Island

KINGSTON, R.I. – The Princeton Tigers head on the road to take on the undefeated Rhode Island Rams at the Thomas Ryan Center on Saturday (1 p.m.).

Rhode Island is 4-0 this season with victories over Dartmouth, Merrimack, Coppin State and Providence. Marie Foppossi and Dez Elmore pace the Rams' offense at 13.8 points per game. Elmore averages a double-double with 10.0 rebounds per contest. These two teams have not met since 1978.

•It was 613 days between games, but the calling card remained the same for the Tigers. Defense. Princeton held the Villanova Wildcats to 15 made baskets and a 26.3 shooting percentage in a 59-42 decision at the Finneran Pavilion.

• Julia Cunningham dropped in a personal-best 26 points, adding five rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in a 76-56 victory over Delaware.

•Cunningham registered her first career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the 69-40 win over Boston University.

•The Tigers have the second longest conference winning streak in the NCAA (26), trailing only UConn (43).

•The 2020 Ivy League Champions' 10-game road winning streak is the third best in the NCAA behind Florida Gulf Coast and Missouri State.
