Men's Lightweights Have Stellar Day at Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Shea Rowing Center hosted the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers' 1V8+ secured third place in the 8+ (12:53.16), trailing only Navy (12:43.88) and Cornell (12:49.77). Princeton's 2V8+ was ninth (13:16.96) among 21 boats in the field.
Princeton's 4X defeated Colgate and two Cornell boats, crossing the finish line at 13:44.37, 13 seconds ahead of second place.
Head coach Marty Crotty's 4+ unit collected an eighth-place finish (14:42.79), third among lightweight squads behind Harvard (14:36.98) and Navy (14:42.23).
The Tigers' 2X snagged a time of 15:40.81. Princeton's 2- group had a dominating performance, collecting a 15:36.82., 23 seconds in front of the second-place competitor.
