New Name, Same Venue: Wrestlers to Compete at MatMen Open

Following the cancellation of the Midlands Championships, members of the Princeton wrestling team will compete instead at the newly organized MatMen Open, which will keep the same Dec. 29 and 30 dates as Midlands and the same site as well, at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
Nick Kayal (133), Nick Masters (133), Brandon Spellman (133), Jacob Mann (141), Marshall Keller (149), Josh Breeding (149, unattached), Blaine Bergey (165), Grant Cuomo (165), Jake Marsh (165), Nate Dugan (174), Mikey Squires (174), Kendall Elfstrum (184), Aidan Conner (HWT), Matt Cover (HWT) and Jack DelGarbino (HWT) are slated to compete at the event.
Competition is set to begin at 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday for the first session, which will pare the main draws down to the final eight, and resume at 7 p.m. ET for the second session, which will include the quarterfinal round and wrestlebacks. Thursday's sessions will begin at 11 a.m. ET, for the semifinals, consolation and seventh-place matches, and at 7 p.m. ET, for the first-place, third-place and fifth-place matches.
The event will be streamed at the Illinois MatMen channel on Rokfin. Brackets will be available on TournaFlex.
