SERIES INFORMATION
While the all-time series stands at 37-8-2 in favor of Union, Princeton is 3-2-1 against the Dutchmen over the last six meetings. Two of those wins came in the 2018 ECAC Quarterfinals in Schenectady. In 2019-20, the last two times the teams met, each was a close game -- Union securing a 2-1 win in OT at Hobey Baker Rink on 11/16/19 and the two sides playing to a 2-2 tie at Messa Rink on 2/20/20.
TIGERS LOOK TO FIND FOOTING
After a 3-1-1 start to the season, Princeton enters the weekend on a four-game losing streak. After allowing 23 goals over its previous four games, the Tigers dialed in on defense last Saturday against RIT and only conceded one goal -- unfortunately it was the lone goal in a 1-0 overtime loss at Hobey Baker Rink.
THE MURPH
Ian Murphy is averaging nearly a point-per-game (0.89) entering this weekend. The rookie has eight total points, tallying a point in seven games overall and highlighted by a 1g, 2a night at Yale. He has 2g, 2a over his last five games, registering a point in each contest.
FINN-TASTIC
Finn Evans has been on a heater of late. The senior forward has six points over his last four games, scoring three goals and adding three helpers. He has at least one point in five of Princeton's nine games this season.
SCOREY ANDONOVSKI
Senior Corey Andonovski has found his stride with six points over his last five games. He had recorded at least one point in each of Princeton's last four games before the team was held scoreless on Saturday night, and his four-game goal scoring streak made him the first Tiger since Ryan Kuffner to score in four straight games. Kuffner had a goal in four consecutive games from 12/8-12/29/18 and then scored in six straight games from 2/17-3/9/18.
KELLY LEAVES THEM GREEN WITH ENVY
Matthew Kellenberger has three points over his last three games, including a pair of goals last Friday against RIT.
PAOLINI PAYING OFF
Defenseman Mark Paolini went 11 games without a point from 11/2/19-1/3/20, but now has 15 points in his last 24 games -- including the OTGWG to advance the Tigers by Dartmouth in the ECAC Playoffs. He had points in his first three games on 21-22, and a two-assist night against Clarkson ended a three-game drought.
PITO POCKETS POINTS
Defenseman Pito Walton had six points over the first four games of the season, His 2g-5a line to this point in 2021-22 has already surpassed his output in 25 games as a freshman in 2019-20.
AMONG THE NATION'S BEST ENTERING THE WEEKEND
Corey Andonovski ranks No. 29 in the nation in goals-per-game (0.56) while Finn Evans and Ian Murphy each rank No. 62 in the country in goals-per-game (0.44)
