Koelzer '17 Recognized for Role in Diversifying the Game

During Black History Month, Princeton alumna Kelsey Koelzer '17, a first-team AHCA All-America honoree during her Tiger career, is being recognized for her efforts to increase participation by Black women in the game.
NBC Sports recorded a video conversation with Koelzer about becoming Arcadia University's first head coach, ahead of that program's inaugural season in 2021-22, and her thoughts on the game's diversification. The CBS and ABC affiliates in Philadelphia also talked with Koelzer, and she appeared on Good Morning America.
NHL.com also talked with Koelzer about the greater number of Black players she's seeing at rinks around the sport, and the NHL's Soul On Ice podcast talked with Koelzer in their recent episode, The Queens Takeover.
Part of Princeton's Black History Month celebration, Koelzer was the featured alum on Saturday, Feb. 13.
In March, the National Women's Hockey League selected Koelzer as the league's Advisor to the Commissioner on Diversity and Inclusion.
