'50 Years' Alumna Spotlight: Maureen Barron '97

At Princeton...
• 1994 Ivy League Rookie of the Year
• 1996 Ivy League Pitcher of the Year
• Four-time All-Ivy Leaguer, earning first-team recognition in 1994 and 1996, and second-team recognition in 1995 and 1997
• Helped lead the team to three NCAA tournament appearances and Ivy League titles (1994-96) and NCAA Women's College World Series appearances in 1995 and 1996
• Holds the program record for most pitching starts in a career (109) and a season (33), most career complete games (86), most complete games in a season (27, shared), most innings pitched in a career (732) and a season (225), most shutouts in a career (32) and a season (13, shared), and most games won in a career (83) and a season (28)
• Threw five no-hitters, solo or combined, a program record
• 1996 winner of the Patton-Poole Women's Softball award as the team's MVP
After Princeton...
• Just three years out of school, returned to succeed her coach at Princeton, Cindy Cohen, and coach the program from 2001 through 2007, winning Ivy titles in four of her seven seasons and still standing as the program's second-winningest coach
