Men's Lightweight Rowing Collects SIlver and Bronze Medals at IRAs

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Princeton men's lightweight rowing team collected silver and bronze medals at the IRA National Championships earlier today.
The 2V8 boat (6:47.28) secured the silver medal, placing 5.9 seconds behind Navy. Penn was third at 6:54.11. After the first 500m where all three boats were even, Navy and Princeton pulled away. Navy built a few-seat lead at 1250m mark and kept the Tigers at distance before earning the win.
Princeton's V8 boat (6:55.54) collected the bronze medal as it was 10.6 seconds back of Navy (6:44.89). Penn placed second. Its third straight medal for the V8 and the fourth in the last five IRAs.
