Open Rowing Wraps Up Day Two Of NCAA Rowing Championships

SARASOTA, Fla. – Princeton's women's open crew's 2V8 won its Semifinal on Saturday to advance to the C Final during day two of the NCAA Rowing Championships.
The 2V (6:35.56) got out to an early lead, moving in front by 2.6 seconds at the 500m. It extended its advantage to almost four seconds before crossing the finish line 2.3 seconds in front of Alabama (6.37.84). The 2V will race in the C Final at 8:48 a.m. tomorrow to determine 13-18th place with Alabama, Duke, Navy, Tennessee and Washington State
Princeton's V4 secured second place in its contest at 7:19.0, trailing Wisconsin (7:14.99). The Tigers will race in the C Final at 8:24 a.m. against Navy, Alabama, Wisconsin, SMU and Gonzaga.
The 1V was sixth in its semifinal (6:29.98) behind Stanford, Washington, Virginia, Brown and California. It races in the Petite Final at 10:36 a.m. against Alabama, Brown, Ohio State, California, and Syracuse to determine places 7th-12th.
