Six From Men's Swimming & Diving Compete at Wave I U.S. Olympic Trials

OMAHA, Neb. – Six members of the Princeton University men's swimming & diving family recently competed at Wave I of the U.S. Olympic Team Swimming Trials inside the CHI Center from Friday, June 4, until Monday, June 7.
Entering as the No. 85 seed, Corey Lau '21 earned a spot in the A final of the 100 breaststroke as the No. 5 seed after touching the wall at 1:02.36. Lau would finish fourth in the final with a time of 1:02.58.
Derek Cox '20 earned a spot in the B final of the 200 butterfly after finishing 16th in his heat with a time of 2:04.15. In the B final, Cox finished in 2:06.31.
Billy Swartwout finished 23rd in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:04.43.
Brian Lou earned a pair of best times in the time trials, clocking in at 51.74 in the 100 freestyle and 1:03.88 in the 100 breaststroke. Lou also tied for 44th out of 94 swimmers in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.25.
Max Seidel competed in the 100 breaststroke and finished 42nd in 1:03.66 and also competed in the 200 IM time trial, finishing with a time of 2:05.26.
In the 100 backstroke, Brett Feyerick finished in 57.09 to finish tied for 36th out of 60 competitors.
Raunak Khosla, the 2020 Ivy League Championships High Point Swimmer of the Meet, will compete in four events in Wave II. Should Dylan Porges not qualify for the Mexican national team, he will compete in Wave II of the U.S. Olympic Trials. George Callanan is currently competing at the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials, where he aims to qualify on the 3-meter board.
