Tokyo Olympics: Noble '18 and Collins Race During Day 2 Of Rowing

TOKYO – Kathleen Noble '18 and Claire Collins '19 raced during day two of rowing at the Tokyo Olympics on Friday evening.

Noble placed third in her repechage, trailing Cuba and Hong Kong. She was more than 28 seconds in front of Togo and Sudan. She will now race in the E Semifinal on Saturday at 8:20 p.m. If Noble finishes among the top three, she will race in the F Final on Wednesday at 8:06 p.m.

Collins and the United States four were fourth in their heat behind Australia, Ireland and Romania. The U.S. were fifth at the 500m mark but jumped up to fourth at the halfway mark. They couldn't make a push and crossed the finish line at 6:43.80. Collins and the U.S. race in the repechage on Sunday at 12 a.m.

Racing was moved around as there is a poor weather set for Tokyo on Monday. No racing will take place that day.
