Women's Open Rowing Nabs Ivy Coaching Staff of The Year; Seven Earn All-Ivy Honors

PRINCETON – The Princeton Women's Open Rowing had seven members named All-Ivy while earning Ivy Coaching Staff of the Year, the league announced.
Laoise O'Donohue, Phaedra van der Molen, Nicole Dunn and Lindsay Saunders nabbed first team honors. Nicole Dunn and Natalie Meyer were second team selections while Christina Li was Academic All-Ivy.
It's the eighth time that Lori Dauphiny and her staff have won either Coach or Coaching Staff of the Year. Princeton earned the Ivy League's automatic qualifier after winning the the Sally P. Shoemaker Trophy. The Tigers have rowed in every NCAA regatta dating back to 1997.
O'Donohue, van der Molen and Saunders were on the first varsity that won Ivy League gold for the ninth straight season. The 1V used a strong push after the 500m mark and took the lead for good, crossing the line first at 6:09.9, 3.5 seconds in front of Yale (6:13.5), who's only loss this season was to No. 4 Tennessee.
Dunn, Meyer and Li were on the second varsity that led wire-to-wire and took home the gold at 6:16.3, holding off a late charge from Yale (6:18.6).
