Women's Open Rowing To Have Six At U23 World Rowing Championships

DUISBURG, Germany – The Princeton Women's Open Rowing Team will have six members participate in the 2026 U23 World Rowing Championships this weekend.
For the United States, Lauren DuBois and Joely Cherniss will row in the eight while Cate Sauer will row in the 2X. For Great Britian, Liv Chessmur will be in the 4X while Anna Cowell will be in the eight. Milena Kontou '30 will be in the 2X for Greece.
Cherniss, Sauer and Cowell rowed on the first varsity for the Tigers that won gold at Ivies, earning the boat's ninth straight gold medal, leading the team to win the Sally P. Shoemaker Trophy. The 1V eventually placed sixth overall at NCAAs.
DuBois and Cheesmur were on the second varsity for Princeton that also won gold at Ivies and earned a fifth-place finish at NCAAs.
Heats begin on Thursday with the Finals taking place on Sunday.
