Smith Promoted To Double-A Rocket City Trash Pandas

Here's an update on the former Tigers and how they're doing in their minor league seasons ...
Ryan Smith – Rocket City Trash Pandas – AA - After allowing six runs in three innings on July 18th, Smith had a quality start vs. the Spokane Indians in his last start, giving up three runs in 6 2/3 innings while striking out eight. Following that outing, Smith got promoted to the Double-A Rocket City Trash Pandas.
James Proctor – Daytona Tortugas – Low A – Proctor still remains on the disabled list. In 10 games for Daytona, Proctor has a 1.43 ERA in 37 2/3 innings with 51 strikeouts.
Jake Boone – Fredericksburg Nationals – Low A – Boone is currently on a three-game hitting streak. In 37 games, he has 11 RBI and four stolen bases.
Alec Keller – Rochester Red Wings – AAA – Keller still remains on the disabled list. In 22 games this year, Keller was outstanding producing a .311/.395/.432 slash line.
Mike Ford – Durham Bulls – AAA – Ford had a double and scored a run for Durham last night in an 8-2 victory over the Norfolk Tides. The former Tiger is slugging .540 for the Bulls in 28 contests.
