Women’s Tennis Picks Up Five Ranked Wins at Wolfpack and Kitty Harrison Invitationals

CARY, N.C. – Playing at both the Wolfpack Invitational/Ranked Spotlight and the Kitty Harrison Invitational, members of the Princeton University women's tennis team earned five wins over ranked opponents, including an opponent ranked inside the top-10 Friday.

At the Wolfpack Invitational, junior Daria Frayman made a statement by taking down No. 8 Natasha Subhash of the University of Virginia, 6-2, 6-3. Later in the day, she defeated No. 11 Jaeda Daniel of NC State, 6-0, 7-6 (6). Senior No. 102 Brianna Shvets and freshman Victoria Hu also earned top-50 wins; Shvets overcame NC State's No. 49 Sophie Abrams 6-2, 6-3, while Hu overcame No. 48 Abigail Rencheli of the Wolfpack, 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles, Frayman and Shvets topped Sophie Abrams and Amelia Rajecki of NCSU, 6-0.

At the Kitty Harrison, sophomore Maia Sung earned a 7-6 (9), 2-6, 10-8 victory over No. 116 Yu Chen of Auburn, and junior Michelle Sorokko defeated Alexandra Viktorovich of Old Dominion, 6-2, 7-6 (3).
