It makes the first time since 1965 that the Tigers have shutout consecutive opponents. The Tigers allowed 199 yards of total offense to Stetson. Princeton is 27-3 under Charles W. Caldwell Jr., '25 Head Coach of Football Bob Surace when allowing less than 200 yards.
Â
The offense also put on a show, collecting 457 yards on a balanced attack that featured 207 yards rushing.

After going three and out to start the game, the offense started on a short field due to this Michael Ruttlen, Jr., interception …

"I'll take that," Michael Ruttlen, Jr., probably.
The junior gets his first career pick and sets the Tigers up on the plus side of the field!

Seven plays later, Cole Smith scampered into the end zone from nine yards out. After the slow start, the offense registered points on six straight possessions. Princeton ran out to a 35-point first half while Stetson converted just one first down. On the drive that the Hatters did convert one,, they ended it with being denied on fourth down.
Â
The second half started much like how the first half went for the home team.
Â
A touchdown.

Surace's unit registered three more times after that including John Volker and Chiago Anyanwu scoring their first career touchdowns.
Â
Cole Smith also threw for three touchdowns, giving him six on the short season. Princeton had three players collect 40 yards receiving in Jacob Birmelin, Dylan Classi and Andrei Iosivas. That trio also reached paydirt.
