Princeton returns to men's cross country action on Friday, competing at the annual Paul Short Run at Lehigh.
The Tigers enter the weekend ranked No. 3 in the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region, and will be joined by No. 1 Villanova, No. 4 Navy and No. 5 Penn at the Paul Short Run – which is held at the same course the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet will be contested in November.
In addition, three of the national Top-30 teams will be in competition with No. 12 Iona joining North Carolina and Villanova which are tied for No. 23.
"Any chance to compete and test yourself is an opportunity we embrace," said head coach Jason Vigilante. "The Paul Short Run is one of the best environments in cross country with so many teams and competitors. It will be a great experience and a big step on our progression towards being ready for Heps and the postseason."
The meet this weekend begins Princeton's preparation for the postseason. Up next is a trip to Tallahassee for the Pre-Nationals Invitational hosted by Florida State on October 15 on the course where the NCAA Championships will be held in November. On October 16, the Tigers host the Princeton Invitational before Heps is held at West Windsor on October 30.
