Women’s Swimming and Diving Set to Host Columbia and Navy

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's swimming and diving team begins 2022 at home with matchups against the Columbia Lions and Navy Midshipmen. The meet is set for Friday, January 21st at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM respectively, inside DeNunzio Pool.
The Tigers remain undefeated, boasting a 5-0 record this year. Most recently, the Tigers placed 2nd at the Big Al Invitational. Princeton set seven top-10 school records and earned two NCAA B cut times. Ellie Marquardt earned one NCAA B cut time in the 400 IM (4:13.99), while Nikki Venema earned the other NCAA B cut time in the 100 butterfly (52.64).
On the Lions: The Columbia women's swimming and diving team is 3-3 on the season, and is coming off a 172-108 win over Ivy League rival Cornell. The Lions finished 4-3 in 2019-2020.
On the Midshipmen: The Navy women's swimming and diving team is 7-1 on the season, their most recent victory a 230-70 thrashing of rival Army. The Midshipmen went 10-2 during the 2019-2020 season.
