SERIES INFORMATION VS. CORNELL
Princeton and Quinnipiac are playing for the 155th time, with the Big Red holding a 93-53-8 edge in the series. In Ithaca, Cornell owns a 51-16-2 lead in the series with Princeton's last win in Lynah Rink coming via a 1-0 shutout on 2/19/13. Ron Fogarty owns two wins over Cornell in his career -- a 2-1 win in his first game against the Big Red at Hobey Baker Rink on 11/7/14 and a 4-1 win in the ECAC Semifinals at Lake Placid on 3/16/18.
SERIES INFORMATION VS. COLGATE
Princeton and Colgate are playing for the 119th time, with Colgate holding a 61-48-9 edge in the series. In Hamilton, the Raiders own a 33-15-2 lead in the series with Princeton's last win in Hamilton coming via a 4-2 victory on 2/8/13. Ron Fogarty's two wins over Colgate came in the playoffs as the Tigers rallied for a 2-1 series win over the Raiders in the 2017 ECAC First Round. Five of the last 11 games between the teams have reached overtime, Princeton going 1-1-3 in those games.
PRINCETON WINS AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS
Since the 1997 season, Princeton has 53 wins over ranked opponents -- including one win over a team ranked No. 1 in the nation coming when the Tigers defeated No. 1 Boston University, 3-2, on December 30, 1997. The Tigers have seven wins over a ranked Cornell team, the most recent coming in the 2018 Semifinals over a Cornell team that entered ranked No. 2.
TIGERS BACK AT IT AFTER LAYOFF TO BEGIN 2022
Princeton had its first six games in January postponed due to COVID-19 protocols affecting both the Tigers and opponents. The postponements resulted in a 37-day layoff between games for the squad before diving right back into the first at No. 1 Quinnipiac on Tuesday. Princeton should get back to game speed pretty quick with five games in a 10-day span between 1/18 and 1/28. Overall, the Tigers will play 16 games over the season's final 40 days.
TIGERS HUNTING OFFENSE
Princeton is looking to reignite its offense after scoring just three goals over its previous five games. The Tigers have shown the ability to score in bunches, netting 29 goals over their six games before the recent cold stretch -- an average of 4.8 goals-per-game.
SCOREY ANDONOVSKI
Senior Corey Andonovski leads the Tigers in scoring with 6g, 3a for nine points. Last time out, he had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss at Providence for his third multi-point night of the season. Of his six goals, four have come on the power play. His 4 PPGs rank No. 1 in the ECAC and No. 16 in the nation.
THE MURPH
Rookie Ian Murphy has eight total points, tallying a point in seven games overall and highlighted by a 1g, 2a night at Yale. He had eight points over seven games between 11/5-11/26, but has been held off the scoresheet in each of his last five games.
FINN-TASTIC
Finn Evans had a run of eight points in seven games as well from 11/5-11/26. His 4g, 4a sit second on the team in points.
