Santa Barbara, Calif. – The No. 19 Princeton Tigers opened the 2022 campaign with a dominating 18-9 victory over the No. 21 California Baptist Lancers, 18-9, during day one of the UC-Santa Barbara Invitational.
Princeton began the game with the first five goals and took an 8-3 lead into halftime. The Tigers started the second half with four straight tallies and were not threatened the rest of the way.
Jovana Sekulic began her collegiate career with six goals and three drawn ejections. Nicole Kresich added a hat trick and four assists in the win. Head coach Derek Ellingson's squad continues the weekend with two matches tomorrow vs. Iona (2:45 p.m., 11:45 a.m. PT) and No. 18 UC-Santa Barbara (7 p.m., 4 p.m. PT).
