Men's Soccer Falls To #21 Cornell, 3-1

No. 21 Cornell shut the door on an attempted Princeton comeback as the Big Red countered a second-half Tigers goal with a final insurance tally to secure a 3-1 win at Roberts Stadium.
Ryan Clare headed home a corner service from Mateo Godoy in the 57th minute to cut Cornell's lead to 2-1, but the Big Red answered just under a minute later to regain the two-goal lead.
The Big Red struck first in the 13th minute when Kisa Kiingi scored the first of his two goals in the match. A long cross from Noel Ortega was headed back into the mixer by Brandon Morales for a quick flick home by Kiingi.
In the second half, Morales scored a goal of his own to give Cornell a 2-0 lead. He finished off a set piece for the Big Red, with Connor Drought serving across the box ro Kiingi who knocked back to Morales who got his leg head-level to knock the ball over the keeper's head.
Ryan Clare got the Tigers on the board just before the 60-minute mark, beating the Cornell keeper to Godoy's corner kick. Kiingi countered wuickly in transition for the Big Red for the final score of the match.
William Watson made four saves in the first half for Princeton. Khamari Hadaway had two in the second half. Ryan Friedburg made four saves for the Big Red.
