Johnson and Butler Pick Up Ivy Weekly Honors
October 31, 2022 | Football
PRINCETON – Liam Johnson (Defensive) and Ryan Butler (Rookie) have earned Ivy League weekly honors for their performances vs Cornell.
Â
Johnson was tied for the team lead with eight tackles and added an 89-yard interception return for a touchdown. His 89-yard interception return was the longest for a Princeton Tiger since Trocon Davis went 100 yards vs. Yale in Nov. 2012. This is his first career Ivy honor.Â
Â
Butler had 42 all-purpose yards and scored a touchdown. He has scored in every game this season and set the Princeton freshman rushing touchdown record with 10. He has been named Ivy Rookie of the Week five times this season, one shy of tying the Ivy record.Â
Â
Head coach Bob Surace's squad welcomes Dartmouth to Princeton Saturday. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
