Max Holm and Riccardo Fantinelli each finished at +17 to end the Hamptons Intercollegiate tops among Tigers at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N..
Princeton finished seventh as a team in the 10-team field. Holm carded an eagle during Tuesday's final round, making the par-five 15th hole in three on his way to finishing as the top player among Princeton's five that were eligible to count toward the team score. Fantinelli competed as an individual.
Virginia won the event at +4 with a 35-shot margin over runner-up Yale. The Cavaliers' Ben James won medalist honors at -5, nine shots clear of any other player in the field.
Princeton will compete again Oct. 10-11 at the Georgetown Intercollegiate at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J.
