Two-Time Defending National Champion Women's Lightweight Rowing Releases 2023 Schedule

PRINCETON – The two-time defending national champion Princeton women's lightweight rowing team has announced its 2023 schedule.
The Tigers begin the 2023 campaign at Radcliffe on April 1st before heading to the Knecht Cup (Apr. 8-9). Princeton welcomes Stanford (Apr. 15) and Georgetown (Apr. 22) to Lake Carnegie.
Head coach Paul Rassam's group heads to Eastern Sprints on Apr. 30. The Tigers have won back-to-back consecutive golds at Easterns, the first time the program has done that since 2002-03.
Princeton takes part in the Dad Vail Regatta (May 12-13) before the IRA National Championships (June 2-4th).
The Tigers had three All-Americans last year in Lily Feinerman, Sarah Fry and Margaret Murphy who were on the varsity eight that won the IRA national title. Princeton's varsity eight jumped out to a lead and kept its distance as Stanford and Georgetown made pushes. With 500m to go, the Hoyas trailed by three seconds, but could only get with a second and half as the Tigers crossed the finish line with the top time (6:55.88). Princeton's boat did not lose a race all season. It was the second straight IRA gold for the varsity eight and eighth overall. The Tigers also took home the IRA women's lightweight team trophy for the first time in program history.
