Women’s Lightweight Rowing Wraps Up Fall Competition At Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team competed in its final regatta of the fall Sunday at Lake Carnegie when it hosted the Princeton Chase. The Tigers were the only lightweight team entered.
"Our ladies rose to the challenge of being the only women's lightweight team at the Chase today," said Assistant Coach Katherine McFetridge. "They showed grit, composure, and teamwork — starting strong in the eights and finishing even stronger in small boats. The leadership within this group has been outstanding, setting the tone for our continued progress. We're excited to carry this momentum into the next phase of strength and conditioning as we prepare for championship season!"
In the morning session of the 8+, the Tigers' A boat (14:35.24) finished 12th overall and an event that had 62 entries. Princeton's B boat (15:18.30) finished 27th .
In the afternoon session of the 8+, the Tigers A boat (18:33.53) finished sixth.
The 4+, which had 36 entries, saw the Tigers' A boat (16:50.52) take fifth and the B boat (18:05.65) 23rd.
In the 2x, Princeton's B boat (17:41.30) earned a second-place finish, the C boat (18:05.03) fourth and the A boat (19:43.61) sixth.
Princeton also finished second in the 1x (19:02.76).
