SERIES INFORMATION
Princeton is 34-87-7 all-time against Clarkson, but more even in the series under Ron Fogarty to the tune of a 5-9-2 record. In 2019-20, the Tigers dropped a pair of close contests with top-10 Golden Knights teams -- 2-1 in the North Country and 3-1 at Hobey Baker Rink. Of course, the biggest win for Princeton in the recent series was a 2-1 win in overtime to capture the 2018 ECAC Championship in Lake Placid. Seniors Matthew Thom and Luke Keenan were on the ice in that game for the Tigers.
LAST TIME OUT VS. CLARKSON
The Golden Knights led, 2-1, after one period but pulled away by scoring the game's next four goals on their way to an 8-3 win at Baker Rink. Finn Evans had two goals and an assist for the Tigers, Corey Andonovski had a goal and an assist. Alex Campbell and Anthony Romano each had two goals for Clarkson.
PRINCETON JOCKEYING FOR POSITION IN ECAC
Princeton is 4-2-1 over their last seven games. The 13 points added have squarely kept the Tigers in the mix for home ice in the first round of the ECAC Playoffs. Entering tonight, the Tigers are tied for seventh place with 20 points, just one point out of a tie for fifth place. All total, there are six teams separated by four points for positions 5-10 in the ECAC entering the weekend.
SPENCER ON FIRE
Spencer Kersten has tallied nine points over his last nine games, averaging a point-per-game with 5g, 4a dating back to 12/11 at Providence. He has points in three of his last four games (2g, 3a).
TIGERS BACK AT IT AFTER LAYOFF TO BEGIN 2022
Princeton had its first six games in January postponed due to COVID-19 protocols affecting both the Tigers and opponents. The postponements resulted in a 37-day layoff between games for the squad before diving right back into the first at No. 1 Quinnipiac on Jan. 18. Starting with last Friday's game against RPI, Princeton plays 11 games in 23 days to close out the season.
OFFENSE FOUND?
After scoring three goals in six games between 11/27/21 and 1/18/22, the Tigers have scored 21 goals over their last seven games with 4-2-1 record over that stretch. The Tigers have shown the ability to score in bunches, scoring 4+ goals in seven games this season.
SCOREY ANDONOVSKI
Senior Corey Andonovski leads the Tigers in scoring with 8g, 10a for 18 points. He has 11 points (3g, 8a) over his last nine games and now has five multi-point games this season. Of his eight goals, five have come on the power play. His 5 PPGs rank No. 2 in the ECAC and No. 18 in the nation.
THE MURPH
Rookie Ian Murphy has 15 total points, tallying a point in 11 games overall and highlighted by a 1g, 2a night at Yale. He had seven points over his last seven games, including five points (1g, 4a) over his last four games.
ABOUT ADAM
Adam Robbins has 10 points this season, far surpassing the two he had in 2019-20 as a freshman. He has four points (3g, 1a) in his last four games and the Tigers are 6-2-0 this season in games where Robbins finds the scoresheet.
PITO POCKETS POINTS
Defenseman Pito Walton had six points over the first four games of the season, His 3g-5a line to this point in 2021-22 has already surpassed his output in 25 games as a freshman in 2019-20.
