Abby Meyers Named Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Semifinalist

PRINCETON, N.J. – She's been a bucket and a problem all season and now she's getting recognized for it.

Abby Meyers has been named a 2022 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Semifinalist, Her Hoops Stats has announced.

Meyers leads the Tigers in scoring at 18.0 points per game, making 41.4 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc. The senior captain has scored at least 10 points in every game and has nine 20-point performances.

Meyers has at least 10 points in 24 straight games dating back to the 2019-20 season. That's the best stretch since Bella Alarie registered at least 10 points in 26 consecutive contests between the 2017-18 and 2019-20 campaigns.

She also been one of the most prolific scorers in Division I. Her 154 field goals are 65th in the NCAA while her 55 treys are 59th. Her 414 points are 72nd. Meyers leads the Ivy League in scoring, field goals, three-point field goal percentage, is second in free throw percentage and is third in three-pointers.

Princeton heads to Columbia tonight (5 p.m., ESPNU) before a road trip to Harvard Saturday (2 p.m.).
