Kyla Sears Named Ivy League Offensive Player Of The Week

Senior attacker Kyla Sears tied her career high in goals (6) and points (8) as Princeton won its 2022 home opener over No. 20 Temple, 14-10. For her efforts, Sears was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week.
Sears scored three times in the first half, but it was her work in the fourth quarter that truly earned this award. With the game tied, 10-10, early in the final period Sears took over and factored in on all four goals down the stretch as the Tigers turned away the Owls. Sears had three goals in the fourth quarter, assisting on another as Princeton secured its second win over a Top-20 opponent to open the season.
Sears now ranks No. 6 all-time in points (217), goals (147) and assists (70) by a Tiger.
Up next for Princeton is the Ivy opener against Cornell at Sherrerd Field on March 5 at 1 p.m.
