BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Princeton University men's tennis team downed Indiana University, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the IU Tennis Center.
"After a bit of a slow start in doubles we did a much better job in singles of getting some early breaks and staying disciplined," said head coach Billy Pate. "We were extremely pleased to see each position remain focused and control the momentum. We need to have a good week of practice to be ready for Wisconsin and Penn State next weekend. I know our team will be very happy to be at home for the first time this spring."
The duo of Ryan Seggerman and Justin Barki overcame Vikash Singh and Carson Haskins at No. 1, 7-6 (10-8). At the No. 2 spot, Karl Poling and Damian Rodriguez defeated Patrick Fletchall and Ilya Tiraspolsky, 6-4
Princeton swept its singles matches; Seggerman downed Haskins 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1, while No. 26 Poling earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Ilya Tiraspolsky at No. 2.
